If the Kwid subcompact is announced here in Brazil as “compact SUV” by Renault, nothing is fairer than saying that the Logan Stepway, which is being marketed until the end of the year in Russia, is the SUV of the sedans. The recipe was simple: the French subsidiary of the French brand applied to the compact sedan the suspension set (which raised the height of the Logam to 19.5 cm in relation to the ground) and the adventurous style details of the Sandero Stepway.
The Logan Stepway will be marketed with a 115 hp 1.6 gasoline engine, which can be combined with a manual or automatic CVT. The list of model equipment will include a new multimedia system (compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), LED daytime running lights, new steering wheel and cabin finishing materials and even a remote starting system (very useful in Russian weather).
Interestingly, the Logan Stepway will be produced at a factory in the Russian city of Togliatti, owned by AvtoVAZ. Associated with Renault in the eastern European country and owner of the Lada brand, the carmaker also produces the Vesta Cross, compact adventurer sedan that competes directly with the new member of the Stepway line.
